About IIT Kanpur
The IIT Kanpur campus is one of India's biggest campuses. The campus's entire size is 1055 acres. The BTech programme is the flagship course. Additionally, the institute launched SURGE IIT Kanpur, a novel educational programme. The IIT Kanpur courses are offered in BTech, B.Sc, MTech, M.Des, M.Sc, MBA, and, PhD. The BTech course of the institute is the flagship course and its fee is Rs 8.38 lakh. Admission to the BTech course is based on the JEE Advanced exam followed by the JoSAA Counselling. Candidates with a rank of 200-250 are shortlisted for the course. Further, the IIT Kanpur fee structure ranges from Rs 44,150 to Rs 8.38 lakh.

The IIT Kanpur placement drive for 2022 has observed the participation of more recruiters visiting the campus. The number of placement offers has increased compared to the last year. In 2021, 821 offers were made on phase one of the IIT Kanpur placements this year it increased significantly with 1,300 offers. Even the highest domestic salary package saw a significant rise of approximately 46.34% in comparison to 2021. Quant-Box on the 2021 placement at IIT Kanpur gave a package of Rs 82 LPA and Rs 80 LPA, which were the highest salary offered that year. This year the highest salary rose to Rs 1.2 CPA. Students were provided excellent domestic placement offers from Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Cohesity, with Apple and Cohesity offering a package of Rs 60 LPA. The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpuris a 420-hectare campus on the Grand Trunk Road, 15 kilometres (9.3 miles) west of Kanpur City (1,000 acres). Uttar Pradesh donated this land in 1960, and the institute moved to its current location in March 1963. According to the NIRF 2022,IIT Kanpuris ranked as India's fourth top engineering college. As a birthplace of computer science education, IIT Kanpur started its journey of teaching computer science by using IBM computers. Over the years it has grown and now is one of the country's largest campuses. The institute now has 3938 undergraduate and 2540 graduate students enrolled. The IIT Kanpur campus covers a total of 1055 acres and contains 108 structures.

Computer centre: All of the institute's facilities, as well as massive clusters of project PIs, office automation servers, the telephone exchange, and other institute servers, are housed in five data centres with precise air conditioning. Private ceremonies and social and religious events can be held in Rooms 4, 5, and 6 and the courtyard and its facilities.
Book Club: To accommodate various tastes, the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur maintains a diverse collection of books.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship
It's a merit-based scholarship with a financial requirement. Students receive complete tuition remission and a monthly pocket allowance of Rs 1,000 for the duration of the program. Beneficiaries must maintain a CPI of 6.5 or higher. If the CPI rises above 6.5, the pocket allowance is eliminated (but remains above 6.0). A student only needs to submit a copy of their parent's income tax return to be considered for the prize. This prize is available to students from other than the category (SC/ST) who have a parent's annual income of fewer than 4.5 lakhs.
Inspire Scholarship
The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur receives an annual stipend of Rs 30,000 per semester (Rs 60,000 annually) and a Rs 20,000 research grant. This reward is open to students in the Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics departments who have an AIR of 10,000 or higher on the standard merit list. It is a merit-based award, and recipients must have a CPI of at least 6.0 to qualify. Students must submit an undertaking to the SSPC each semester to be eligible for any other scholarship.
Scholarship for a Free-Basic Mess
This scholarship is available to students who fall into the (SC/ST) category and have an annual household income of fewer than 4.5 lakhs. The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur scholarship covers the cost of a basic food plan and a stipend.

The institute awards several academic excellence prizes to its students for their academic achievements.
