IIT Placements 2024-25: IIT Placements for the year 2024-2025 are conducted in two phases for all the IITs. Usually, the first phase begins around December and the second phase in February to May. IIT Bombay reported an average package of approximately INR 36.9 LPA with sectors like technology, finance, and consulting dominating recruitment. IIT Indore recorded an average salary of around INR 23.50 LPA with top-performing BTech branches like Computer Science Engineering and Electrical Engineering having the highest averages. IIT Kharagpur recorded a Domestic Highest Package of INR 1 Crore with top recruiters like  Apple, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, Uber, and Schlumberger. IIT Delhi is recorded to have offered the highest package of INR 1 Crore Per Annum at the domestic level with more than 50 offers above INR 1 crore. Some of the top recruiters of the Top IITs in India are Microsoft, Google, Apple, Schlumberger, Qualcomm, Amazon, Flipkart, ISRO, American Express, Boston Consulting Group, Intel, etc.

IIT Placements 2024 - 2025 Highlights

• The IIT Bombay Placement session for 2024-2025 has shown a rise in the average salary from INR 21.8 LPA to INR 23.5 LPA which is equivalent to 7.7%. However, the lowest salary had a generous fall of INR 4 LPA. A 12% increase in recruiter visits is recorded at IIT Bombay.
• During Phase 1 placements of IIT Delhi, PPO offers were also made which counts to approx of 1050 offers. 1000 students were uniquely selected with over 50 international offers from 20 global companies. Key recruiters of IIT Delhi 2024-2025 placements are Microsoft, Air India, Texas Instruments, Bajaj Auto, Goldman Sachs, Ola, etc. 42% of students were recruited from the Core sector.

IIT Madras Placements 2024-2025

• 50% of the students have already been placed with 256 recruiters visiting the campus. So far, 1091 candidates have secured offers with an average package of INR 22 LPA and a median of INR 19.6 LPA.
• The top recruiters as of now have been P Morgan Chase, Texas Instruments, Adobe, Amazon, and EY India.
• The highest salary recorded in the last year was INR 1.31 CPA while the lowest was around INR 5.4 LPA.
• Some of the popular job roles that secure the highest salary are software development engineers, data scientists, and core engineers.
• For MTech courses in Mechanical Engineering, the highest salary was recorded scaling to INR 49.7 LPA.
• Computer Science Engineering has received offers as high as INR 54.21 LPA and a median of INR 30.36 LPA.

IIT Kharagpur Placements 2024-2025

• The highest annual package offered at IIT Kharagpur stands at INR 2.6 Crore, especially in Computer Science and Engineering.
• The average annual salary of the top 50% of students is INR 18.10 LPA with a top 25% averaging at INR 21.25 LPA.
• The median salary is recorded at INE 13.5 LPA demonstrating a strong middle ground for students across all the departments.
• The lowest salary at IIT Delhi as per the placement drive of 2024-2025 was recorded as INR 11.6 LPA.
• Some of the top companies are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, and Wipro.
• Over 250 companies visited the campus.
• In 2024, nearly 90% of students from CSE, ECE, and Electrical Engineering secured early placements, and over 1100 students received offers across all streams, including dual degree and post-graduate programs.

IIT Delhi Placements 2024-2025

• IIT Delhi placements 2024-25 are reported to have provided an average package of approximately INR 36.9 LPA with the highest domestic package of INR 1 Crore Per Annum.
• 1050 job offers have been noted as of now considering more than 50 international offers across countries like Japan, USA, Singapore, and UK.
• Top recruiters in this phase include companies such as Bajaj Auto, Texas Instruments, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and Ola Electric.
• Internships are a vital part of a student experience and IIT Delhi has provided 100% internships to all students successfully. The highest stipend stood at INR 4.04 Lakhs per month.

IIT Bombay Placements 2024-2025

• IIT Bombay 2024-2025 placement drive showcased some compelling insights. The highest salary package at the domestic level reached INR 1.68 CPA and the highest domestic international package showcased INR 3.67 CPA.
• The average salary package stood at IBR 23.5 LPA making a 7.7% increase from the previous years while the lowest package stood at INR 4 LPA making a huge decline.
• The top recruiters included renowned companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and McKinsey, as well as financial and tech firms such as JP Morgan, Citibank, and Goldman Sachs.
• Furthermore, the engineering, technology, and finance sectors observed the highest recruitment rates. The event attracted 364 companies, offering a total of 1475 jobs though the placement rate dropped to 75% from 82% compared to previous years' rates.
• Notably, there was an increase in international offers particularly from countries like the USA, Japan, and UAE totaling 788 offers.

IIT Kanpur Placements 2024-25

• During the initial phase, over 891 jobs were extended including Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), with about 818 candidates securing roles.
• Approximately 21 international job offers were made.
• Offers like INR 5.5 CPA by Jane Street for quantitative trader roles have set the benchmark for the highest package.
• The average salary for BTech candidates was reported at around INR 26.27 LPA.
• CSE candidates often see average offers of around INR 42.89 LPA while branches like Electronics and Communication Engineering receive an average of INR 29.57 LPA.
• Top companies like Flipkart, Oracle, Rubrik, and NVIDIA are some of the top recruiters offering substantial packages.
• Jane Street, Qualcomm, Airbus, and Texas Instruments are also key recruiters across various branches.

IIT Guwahati Placements 2024-25

• As per IIT Guwahati, over 891 jobs were extended including Pre Placement Offers (PPOs) with about 818 students securing roles. Approximately 21 international job offers were made.
• 262 companies registered to offer roles across 422 profiles.
• 11 offers exceeded the ₹1 crore mark, showing a rise compared to last year.
• The highest international salary package offered so far is around INR 2.4 CPA while the highest domestic package stands at approximately INR 1.1 CPA.
• The top recruiters for this year include prominent companies like Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Bajaj, Piramal, HPCL and Texas Instruments.

IIT Roorkee Placements 2024-25

• IIT Roorkee Placements 2024-25 is not yet disclosed. However, for the 2024-25 session, the highest salary offered is expected to be higher than the previous years i.e. INR 15 LPA to INR 3 CPA.
• The average salary offered to graduates is generally around INR 20 lakhs to INR 25 lakhs per annum.
• The median salary can be barely below the standard but is still fairly competitive, usually in the scope of INR 15 lakhs to INR 20 lakhs per annum.
